Local Pop Hero are a 3 piece guitar band from Woking (and surrounding areas) Band Members are
Rob Foster – Guitar, Lead Vocals
Rob Selway – Bass ,backing vocals
Gary Tillett -Drums, backing vocals
Formed in 2019 , from remnants of Covers band Cerveza Rob F and Gary T created self titled original album Local Pop Hero, still available on all platforms to stream, Then Rob F’s wife reached out on facebook for a bass player, which Rob S responded to, Rob F had always wanted to be in a band with Rob S , having recorded with him previously in the 90’s but commitments had always stopped this from happening, so the band started to rehearse their original material, getting really tight and accomplished and ready to gig just before going into lockdown. Coming out of lockdown gigs were really hard to come by so the band decided to tread the pub circuit which entailed learning a large number of cover versions, from which they honed their skills, but the band primarily are all about original music as all three members are extremely proficient songwriters in their own right, the band is as we speak working on their second album so watch this space.
The band really enjoy their live shows, these are three blokes that really get on well and enjoy making music together , and that shows in their live performances.
